Peruvian marriage certificate with divorce annotation
When you need proof that a Peruvian marriage has ended, the document requested may be a marriage certificate showing the divorce annotation. We obtain that record and arrange its apostille.

What this service provides
This service is for an existing marriage record with an annotation of dissolution of the marriage. We first check that the divorce is reflected in the record. If it has not been registered, obtaining a fresh copy will not add it.
An annotated certificate is different from a divorce decree
A court judgment, notarial document or municipal divorce decision is a different document. If your instructions ask for a divorce decree, send them to us before ordering. We will check the document requested instead of assuming that an annotated marriage certificate is enough.
The US Department of State’s Peru reciprocity page describes divorce-annotated marriage certificates for immigrant visa processing. Requirements for other applications can differ.
PDF or original: tell us what you need
The service includes a scanned PDF sent by email or WhatsApp. If the receiving institution needs the paper original, we can arrange DHL or FedEx shipping, or collection at our Lima office. We confirm courier cost and delivery estimates for your address before dispatch.
An apostille authenticates the signature and capacity of the official who signed the document. It does not guarantee approval of an application. The recipient decides which document, translation and format it accepts. Where the Apostille Convention does not apply, ask us about the legalization route.
Questions about divorce records
What does the US$70 fee cover?
One certified marriage certificate carrying an existing divorce annotation, its apostille and a scanned PDF. It does not cover obtaining a divorce or registering a missing annotation.
Can you obtain a divorce decree at the same price?
A decree is outside this listed service. Send us a copy or the case details and we will confirm whether we can help, with a separate quote.
Do I need a translation?
Ask the institution receiving the record. If it requires English, confirm its translation and certification rules. Translation is quoted separately.
