Frequently asked questions
1. How much does it cost to apostille a Peruvian birth certificate?
S/ 220 all-inclusive: certified copy from RENIEC, apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, data check and PDF delivery in 2 to 3 business days. The same price applies to marriage and death certificates and to the certificate of no marriage record.
2. What information do you need?
The full name of the person on the record, the date of the event (birth, marriage or death) and, if you have it, the place where it was registered. A photo of an old copy helps us find it faster.
3. What if my record is not in RENIEC?
Some older records exist only at the local municipality where they were registered. In that case the municipality issues it, you send it to us, and we authenticate the signature at RENIEC before the apostille. Ask us and we will check it for you.
4. Do I need a certified translation?
Usually yes. Immigration agencies such as USCIS or IRCC ask for a complete English or French translation with the translator's certification. We can arrange it; the price depends on the document.
5. Can I get the record for my child born in Peru?
If the child is a minor and the parents are abroad, the record is requested with a consular power of attorney signed by a parent. Message us and we explain the steps.
